Badi'u'llah Haghpeykar was a Baha'i.  He lived in Karaj, just outside of Tehran, for 62 years, and served on the Spiritual Assembly of that town for 25 years.  He was arrested in 1981, incarcerated for 9 months, and executed by a firing squad on May 8, 1982, on the charge of being a Baha'i.

 

This poem was written by Fara, a Muslim high-school friend of Kamran, Badi'u'llah's son.
