| Dear Friends, Something that must shock the conscience of humanity. "Why is Faith Their Crime?" "From childhood I was attacked because of my family's beliefs….my only crime was my Faith. It has been very difficult for me to understand that these things could happen to you if you love people, believe in oneness of humanity and peace for the world….. I had my own experiences of persecution when I was in Iran. I was in Iran that I first witnessed the fate of women whose human rights had been violated. when I wrote a book "Where is the justice? Stories from behind Closed Doors, I tried to bring some of my experiences and other women and girls from all the world- who have been tortured, abused and wrongfully imprisoned.. I found similar social problems in almost every land. This has roused my sense of justice and compassion for the suffering of others, especially innocent women and girls. Now, my sister and many of Baha'i friends in Iran are in prisons, their only crime are that they are Baha'i. Betty Frost wrote : "In today's world - and even in past ages - we are conscious of people who have become so fanatical about their respective religions that they have gone to any length to prove that it is the only right way. Many of the wars, perhaps the majority of them, have been fought over such misguided convictions. Mass killings, torture, enslavement of populations, deprivation of the most essential of human rights." with many thanks Rosa Vasseghi |
