"24 Years Ago …" is the story of Roofia Shahidi-Asdaghi. Her father, Mr. Ni'matu'llah Shahidi was arrested in Mashahd and transferred to the prison in Kashmar, where in 1981 he was put to death with a firing squad. Her husband, Dr. Farhad Asdaghi, was a member of the third National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of Iran elected after the Islamic Revolution, who was put to death by hanging on November 16, 1984, at the age of 32. Her account is moving and sobering. (Persian version is provided too.)
"Memories of an Iranian Baha'i" is the account of a Baha'i family subjected to every form of maltreatment by unrelenting foes, yet survived it all to tell their story. This account was written in response to Iran's Attorney General's statement that the Baha'is have been treated more favorably than others by the Islamic government. Read all about the "favors" of the present regime!
