'No New Year Leave' For Iranian Political Prisoners Iranian political prisoners will not be allowed the customary temporary leave to celebrate the upcoming new year, under a directive by the head of the judiciary. More 'New Crackdown' On Iran Students A former student activist of Tehran's Sharif University of Technology told Radio Farda on March 13 that 16-18 students of that university have been detained since mid-February. More Baha'i Leader Barred From Funeral One of seven Baha'i leaders serving prison terms in Iran is reported to have been refused permission to attend his wife's funeral. More UN: Iran Intensifies Crackdown The United Nations said that Iran has intensified its crackdown on opponents as well as executions of drug traffickers, political prisoners, and juvenile criminals.
